fantastic stay near central station

friendly receptionearly roomluggage assistanceconstant noise
the reception team was super friendly when i arrived very early in the morning. my room (i booked it the day before) was ready and waiting for me. i had heavy luggage with me and the staff helped me store it safely, they even carried it up the stairs for me (such kindness!).
Loud music from a nearby hotel was audible until late at night. Closing the windows provided little relief. constant noise from drunken revelers lasted all night.
Location
10/10
the hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the main train station (very handy indeed!). it is also within walking distance of the city center. this made getting around very easy.
Service

my city view room was quiet (despite overlooking a busy main street). the bathroom was very nice. there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room (i do like a good cuppa!).

Decent hotel with minor drawbacks

central locationfriendly stafflocal amenitieshot roomnoisy fansuper hot towel rail
I found the staff really friendly. I appreciated the central location, it was easy to walk to the station, shopping, and the Quay area. The proximity to local amenities.
My room was very hot when I checked in, there was no AC in the room. The towel rail in the bathroom was super hot. I had to use the portable fan, it was noisy during the night.
